Handarty Korea 2019
A year passed, and again, here I was at COEX for Handarty Korea. (read my last year post: “Meet The World Through Handmade Korea”)
It’s the 4th year I joined Handarty Korea (was named Handmade Korea). Always looking for ways to improve, and every year I want to do better than the year before. So I planned out booth decor and all the details nearly two months before to make sure every arrangement fell into place.
I appreciate my Korean friends who came over to see me every year. It feels like a yearly reunion with you all~ ❤ 모두 너무 감사해요~ 🙏😘
23 countries are participating in Handarty Korea this year in the International Pavilion, including Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, USA, France, Russia, Nepal, India, and of course, Indonesia! 😁 Moreover, there are sewing designs, Korean quilts, workshop zones, etc etc.. Other than that, Handarty and the translator team helped us to arrange business matching meetings with local retailers and buyers.
4 days of Handarty Korea 2019 are now over.. Thank you everyone for lending your helping hands in any way including the interpreter team who kept wandering around International Pavillion to see if we needed any help, my neighbour Spruce Artistry who took most of my photos and shared insights, Meg of Nutmeg Fibers – I’m gonna miss your jokes 😆, my part-time helpers in dismantling my booth Lucia, Hoyun & SangHun ㅋ.
이수내 이사님, 이대복 대표님, and Effy Jimin 머두 수고했어요~ 🙏
Above all, this is my favorite sentence that I heard from customers who came by our booth:
“예쁜것이 왜 그렇게 많아?” which means: “Why there are so many beautiful things?” ❤❤❤
Stay close to people who feel like sunlight, and they’re my sunlight ☀️☀️☀️ Love y’all! ❤
✔ 퇴근! ㅋ 😁
And then next… our journey continued to Design Festa Summer at Tokyo, Japan ✈️
